01An offer built around your decision question
Nova Conseil starts by clarifying the decision to be informed: launching or adjusting an offer, understanding customers, testing a value proposition, measuring satisfaction, mapping stakeholders, documenting a social need or preparing academic work. Depending on the objective, we use desk research, qualitative interviews, questionnaires, observation, competitive analysis or a combination of methods. Scope, sampling criteria, languages, collection channels and timing are agreed with the client before fieldwork.
02Surveys grounded in Congolese realities
Research designs can reflect differences between urban, peri-urban and rural areas, uneven territorial access, infrastructure and connectivity constraints, and formal and informal channels. In extractive industries, analysis may cover suppliers, value chains, affected communities, local needs and social acceptance without prejudging findings. In non-extractive sectors—trade, agriculture, manufacturing, services, digital, health, education or logistics—we can examine demand, usage, access barriers and existing alternatives. Business formalization, source reliability and respondent availability are treated as methodological parameters, not hidden assumptions.
03A cautious approach to markets and data
Analysis can distinguish observed facts, respondent statements, assumptions and interpretations. Where relevant, interview guides and questionnaires account for the reference currency, price movements, exchange rates, perceived inflation, transport costs and supply disruptions. Time or geographic comparisons are accompanied by their validity conditions. Nova Conseil does not manufacture statistics: sample sizes, response rates, potential biases, collection dates and coverage limits are documented so readers can assess the appropriate level of confidence.
04From design to reporting
The process includes initial scoping, review of available sources, tool design, a pilot where appropriate, enumerator training or briefing, data collection, consistency checks, analysis and reporting. Delivery may be in-person, telephone-based, digital or mixed depending on the audience and field conditions. Reporting prioritizes ranked insights, useful segments or profiles, contextualized verbatims and action options. Recommendations remain proportionate to the available evidence and are presented as options for client validation, not guaranteed outcomes.
05Who it serves and possible uses
SMEs/SMIs may use a study to refine their customers, location or offer. Mining, industrial and trading companies may document upstream or downstream markets, suppliers, usage patterns and stakeholders. Institutions and NGOs may better qualify needs, service coverage and beneficiary perceptions. Entrepreneurs can test an idea before committing resources. Professionals, students and researchers can receive methodological support, structured data collection or analysis within the agreed scope and applicable confidentiality requirements.
