Analysis and Decision Support

Cabinet Nova Conseil supports organizations operating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo when an important decision must be made from incomplete, dispersed, or changing information. Our work turns available data, operating constraints, and possible scenarios into a structured, usable, and decision-proportionate analysis. The service is designed for SMEs and mid-sized companies, mining, commercial, industrial and service businesses, institutions, NGOs, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and researchers throughout the DRC. The aim is to clarify the client’s choice, not to replace management, specialized advisers, or governance bodies.

LOCAL CONTEXT

An engagement designed for DRC realities.

The service is designed for a large and heterogeneous country where access to infrastructure, public services, data, and markets can differ substantially by province and sector. The World Bank describes an economy supported by mineral resources while also highlighting the role of construction and services, infrastructure constraints, and risks related to fragility and shocks. It also documents practical barriers to formalizing MSMEs and efforts to bring one-stop business registration services closer to entrepreneurs. In 2024, the IMF reported high inflation and the role of exchange-rate depreciation in macroeconomic pressures. Nova Conseil therefore treats exchange rates, inflation, logistics, and infrastructure as assumptions to be tested in each engagement, not as universal constants. No market statistic or client result is invented in this offer.

01

Analysis grounded in the Congolese operating context

Nova Conseil starts by clarifying the decision, its time horizon, stakeholders, and selection criteria. The analysis may consider the level of business formalization, data availability and quality, supply chains, infrastructure access, connectivity, provincial location, security issues, and dependencies on extractive or non-extractive sectors. For mining companies and their suppliers, the review may address links between production, subcontracting, logistics, local content, and markets. For institutions and NGOs, it may connect objectives, resources, beneficiaries, operational risks, and execution capacity. The scope is agreed in advance and assumptions are made explicit.

02

Data-informed management without false precision

We collect and qualify relevant information: internal documents, interviews, operating data, client-provided budgets, field observations, public sources, and appropriate comparisons. We distinguish verified facts, assumptions, estimates, and unknowns. Simple dashboards, key indicators, variance analysis, process maps, and scenarios may be used when they provide clear decision value. Sensitive data is handled according to instructions agreed with the client. Where data is insufficient, Nova Conseil states the limitation rather than manufacturing precision or statistics.

03

Scenarios for sound decision-making

As needed, the team compares options against agreed criteria: strategic relevance, operational feasibility, required resources, dependencies, risks, timing, reversibility, and additional information needs. In a context where exchange rates, prices, inflation, logistics costs, or infrastructure access may change, sensitive assumptions can be tested through scenarios or sensitivity analysis. This work is not a guaranteed forecast and does not constitute personalized financial advice. The client remains responsible for its final decision, approvals, controls, contracts, and specialized judgments.

04

Action-oriented reporting

The deliverable focuses on what the decision-maker can do next. It sets out the main findings, analytical limits, compared options, watch points, decisions to confirm, and a prioritized action plan with proposed owners and milestones. A presentation or decision workshop can be arranged to test assumptions and collect feedback from teams. For students and researchers, the format can be adapted to a research question, literature review, analytical protocol, or exploratory study, without replacing the methodological requirements of their institution.

05

A careful and clearly bounded service

The engagement is framed by a start-up note specifying the question, sources, deliverables, indicative timetable, and respective responsibilities. Nova Conseil does not promise guaranteed results, funding, contract awards, automatic compliance, or commercial performance. This service is not personalized legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. When a decision requires specialized regulatory, tax, legal, technical, or financial expertise, we recommend involving the client’s qualified professional or appropriate adviser. Findings should be reviewed against the most recent information before any binding decision.
